Engaging Future Leaders

The global international development effort continues to grow!  PAI recognizes the power of young people to keep this work moving forward with innovation, creative solutions and passion.  PAI has begun conducting university tours to increase awareness and education around sexual and reproductive health, family planning and the health of women and families around the world.  A special thank you to Project Pericles at Elon University, North Carolina and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's School of Global Public Health for hosting PAI staff this past October.  PAI is looking forward to engaging young leaders and gaining diverse perspectives on these important issues!

Presentations to universities include:

  • information on the situation of reproductive health throughout developing nations
  • information on how U.S. foreign policy is influencing lives throughout developing nations
  • information on PAI's approaches to international development
  • screening of PAI documentaries with discussion/questions
  • information about PAI's Internship and International Fellows Programs
  • ways for students and communities to take action and get involved with our work!

Student Testimonials

The information they presented in class about the very narrow aid and support that the US is giving to various methods of reproductive rights really moved me.  I am outraged that people in our government believe they have the right to withhold information about all methods of family planning to the people who need the information the most. --Annelise DeJong

"Documentaries and discussions were very informative and eye-opening."

I found the presentation to be quite interesting.  While most organizations (read, NGO’s) focus on the delivery of goods and services for third world nations; PAI’s focus on changing policies is a fresh outlook on humanitarian aid.--Madison Barrett

“They had a personal connection to everything they talked about.”
