House Initially Approves Historic Increases for Family Planning and Reproductive Health Programs

Recently, Appropriations Committees in Congress passed historic funding increases and policy gains for international family planning and reproductive health programs. The House Appropriations Subcommittee for State, Foreign Operations and Related Programs approved $600 million for international family planning and reproductive health programs, while the Senate Appropriations Committee passed policy gains that included the reversal of the Global Gag Rule.
