Infographic: The Dollars and Sense of Family Planning

Believe it or not, Americans spend more than $1 billion annually on potato chips. And while Ruffles may be delicious, this is arguably not the smartest way to spend our money.

If we spent that same $1 billion on family planning, the U.S. would be paying its fair share to help 222 million women in developing countries gain access to the contraception they want. And every $1 spent on contraception would save our government $4 or more in other development areas.

Bottom line: Invest in family planning. It just makes sense (and dollars).
