Some things to keep in mind when writing for All Access:
- Length:
We take short posts of 150-350 words, as well as longer op-eds of 500 to 700 words. In general, use the fewest words possible to make your point convincingly.
- Timeliness:
We’re more likely to publish your piece if it relates to a news event or current, relevant issue.
- Style:
Stick to one main point and use short words and simple, declarative sentences. Keep paragraphs short. Take a conversational tone and avoid technical terms and jargon. Use humor where appropriate.
- Headline
Please include a short, punchy and provocative suggested headline with your submission.
- Visuals
We love photos, videos, and infographics. Please include visuals with your submission, where appropriate.
- Attribution and Links
Accuracy is critical. Link to relevant sites and/or documents you reference, and make sure you attribute anything you didn’t write yourself.
- Author information
Please include a short bio of a few sentences at the bottom of your post, and a headshot (at least 250 px by 250 px with a resolution of 72 dpi).
- Editing
PAI uses AP Style. We reserve the right to edit all posts we publish to meet our content, style, and editorial standards.
